چکیده

To determine the effects of plant-based meat analogues on metabolic health and possible mechanisms, mice were fed with a real pork diet (AP), beef (AB), analogue (PP) (PB) for 68 days. Compared meat, increased food energy intake, body weight, white fat liver weight caused adipocyte hypertrophy, hepatic lipid droplet accumulation, more severe inflammatory responses in mice. Metabolomics revealed that altered composition serum metabolites, which regulated metabolism homeostasis. The PB upregulated gene expression related to synthesis, lipolysis differentiation while PP lipolysis-related genes but downregulated differentiation-related adipose tissue. Meanwhile, both diets influx- synthesis-related oxidation-related liver. specific metabolite biomarkers may affect accumulation mainly by direct pathways or indirect amino acid metabolism, protein digestion absorption, bile secretion, aminoacyl-tRNA biosynthesis, neuroactive ligand-receptor interaction ABC transporters pathways. These findings provide new insight into understanding differences nutritional functions analogues.

MicroRNAs regulating lipid metabolism in atherogenesis.

MicroRNAs have emerged as important post-transcriptional regulators of lipid metabolism, and represent a new class of targets for therapeutic intervention. Recently, microRNA-33a and b (miR-33a/b) were discovered as key regulators of metabolic programs including cholesterol and fatty acid homeostasis. These intronic microRNAs are embedded in the sterol response element binding protein genes, S...

Capsinoids suppress fat accumulation via lipid metabolism

Capsaicin, found in red peppers, has been reported to have anti‑obesity, anti‑hypertension, anti‑diabetes and anti‑inflammatory functions. In the present study, we determined the effect of non‑pungent capsinoids on the metabolism of adipocytes. We demonstrated that capsinoids suppressed fat accumulation in vivo and in vitro in mice. Liver, the main tissue of lipid metabolism, was treated by cap...

Synthetic redesign of plant lipid metabolism

Plant seed lipid metabolism is an area of intensive research, including many examples of transgenic events in which oil composition has been modified. In the selected examples described in this review, progress towards the predictive manipulation of metabolism and the reconstitution of desired traits in a non-native host is considered. The advantages of a particular oilseed crop, Camelina sativ...

Disruption of uridine homeostasis links liver pyrimidine metabolism to lipid accumulation.

We report in this study an intrinsic link between pyrimidine metabolism and liver lipid accumulation utilizing a uridine phosphorylase 1 transgenic mouse model UPase1-TG. Hepatic microvesicular steatosis is induced by disruption of uridine homeostasis through transgenic overexpression of UPase1, an enzyme of the pyrimidine catabolism and salvage pathway. Microvesicular steatosis is also induced...

Regulation of renal lipid metabolism, lipid accumulation, and glomerulosclerosis in FVBdb/db mice with type 2 diabetes.

Diabetic kidney disease has been associated with the presence of lipid deposits, but the mechanisms for the lipid accumulation have not been fully determined. In the present study, we found that db/db mice on the FVB genetic background with loss-of-function mutation of the leptin receptor (FVB-Lepr(db) mice or FVBdb/db) develop severe diabetic nephropathy, including glomerulosclerosis, tubuloin...
